🍪 The Short Version

RevSim uses only technically necessary cookies and browser storage. There are no advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. No consent banner is required under § 25 (2) TTDSG for strictly necessary technical storage — but we explain everything transparently here.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. "Local storage" is a similar browser technology that stores data locally on your device. Both are used only for technical functionality.

LocalStorage data is stored entirely on your device and never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings or developer tools (Application → Local Storage → Delete).

4. Third-Party Cookies

This simulator does not load any third-party scripts, analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), advertising networks, social media widgets, or CDN-hosted resources that would set third-party cookies.

Google Fonts used on this page are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com. Google may set a cookie or log your IP address as part of this request. If you wish to prevent this, you can use a browser extension to block external font requests.

5. How to Manage or Delete Cookies

You can control cookies directly in your browser settings:

Note: Deleting the session cookie will log you out of the simulator. Deleting localStorage will reset your volume preference. No other data or progress is affected by clearing cookies.

6. Legal Basis

All cookies and storage used are technically necessary to provide the service you actively requested (creating an account and playing the simulator). They are therefore exempt from consent requirements under § 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG (Telekommunikation-Telemedien-Datenschutz-Gesetz).

No cookies requiring consent (analytics, advertising, profiling) are used.
