What Are Double Centred Dragon Patterns?
The Specialist Gloves | Cloud Chaser has one of the most interesting pattern systems in CS2. Depending on the pattern ID, the dragon artwork can look completely different from pair to pair.
The patterns people usually care about most are called double centred dragons — meaning you get a full, clear dragon showing on both hands at the same time. That's the placement most collectors and players are after.
When both dragon heads are visible and nicely centred, the gloves simply look cleaner in-game. When they're clipped or pushed off to the side, the whole design feels weaker.
So in this guide, I ranked the best double centred patterns based on:
- How well the dragons are centred — are both heads clearly visible?
- How clean both hands look together — does the pair feel balanced?
- How much clipping there is — does the dragon get cut off by the glove border?
- Overall visual balance — how does it look in-game at a glance?
🏆 Tier 1 — Best Double Centred Dragons
These are the strongest patterns for the Cloud Chaser finish. Both dragon heads are clearly visible, nicely centred, and the pair looks balanced across both hands.
If you want the cleanest possible look, this is the tier to aim for.
Example: Pattern #551
This is one of the best double centred patterns available. Both dragons sit nicely on the glove face with minimal clipping, and the overall symmetry is very strong. It's exactly what most collectors are looking for when they search for premium Cloud Chaser gloves.
These seeds typically sell above market price, especially on cleaner floats. If you're selling one of these, make sure you know what you have before listing at market.
🥈 Tier 2 — Good Double Centred Dragons
Tier 2 patterns still give you the double dragon look, but with small imperfections. You might see slightly more clipping, weaker centering, or a bit less symmetry between the gloves.
They still look very good in-game — just not quite collector-tier.
Example: Pattern #6
Pattern #6 is a solid double centred dragon seed. Both dragons are clearly visible, but the alignment isn't quite as clean as the best Tier 1 patterns. It's still a great-looking pair and usually easier to find at normal market prices.
These usually sell at market price or a small premium. If you're after the double dragon look without spending Tier 1 money, this is where to look.
📋 TL;DR — Quick Pattern Summary
If you want the cleanest possible pair, go for Tier 1. If you want good value without overpaying, Tier 2 is still a very solid choice.
💰 Quick Buying Tip
Always check the pattern ID before buying. Two pairs of Cloud Chaser gloves can have the same float and wear, but look completely different depending on the pattern. A proper double centred dragon pair will almost always look better in-game — and sometimes sell for more later.
