What Is Hellcase?
Hellcase is a CS2 case opening site that has been running since 2016, which makes it one of the oldest names still active in the category. You top up your balance, open cases, upgrade or trade up skins, and withdraw what you win straight to Steam.
It isn't CS2-only. A switch on the homepage flips the whole case library between CS2, Dota 2 and Rust, which very few case sites offer.
The scale is the first thing you notice. The live counters on the homepage showed these numbers when we checked:
Is Hellcase Legit?
Yes. Here's what we can actually point at:
- Ten years live. Hellcase launched in 2016. Exit-scam sites in this space rarely last one.
- A named operator. The site is run by Molteon Pte. Limited (Singapore), with Yomoly LTD (Cyprus) handling EU users.
- Provably fair. Rolls can be verified, and the Provably Fair button sits right inside each battle, so you don't have to go looking for it.
- Instant skin withdrawals. Skins are sent from Hellcase's own stock instead of being matched to another player.
Game Modes
Hellcase keeps it focused: four core modes, all built around skins. There's no crash, roulette or mines here.
- Cases. The main event. Hundreds of cases from $0.50 up to premium tiers, with new themed sets on every event. Right now that's the Area 51 collection, from File 51 at $0.50 to File: Unknown at $94.
- Upgrade. Put in a skin or balance and pick a target skin. The lower the win chance, the bigger the multiplier.
- Case Battle. Open the same cases as other players, and the highest total value takes the pot. Battles run up to 11+ rounds and can be verified through Provably Fair.
- Contract. Hellcase's take on a trade-up: combine several skins into one new item.

We looked for a house edge or RTP figure and couldn't find one. Hellcase doesn't publish a per-mode edge table the way SkinRave or CSGORoll do. Third-party reviews put the case edge at around 10%, which is normal for case sites, but that's an estimate, not a Hellcase number.
What Hellcase does give you is provably fair verification. That proves a roll wasn't changed after the fact. It doesn't tell you what the case is priced against, though. The drop list shows you what's in a case, but not how much the house keeps over time.
Rewards, Races & Events
The free stuff is Hellcase's strongest point, and the main reason this review's score went up.
- Daily free cases via LVL Rewards. Every case, upgrade, contract and battle gives XP. At LVL 2 you unlock your first daily free case, at LVL 17 a second one, and at LVL 25 the third one (the Semipro case). That's up to three free cases a day.
- More LVL perks. Higher levels also unlock weekly giveaways and a growing Wartagback, a percentage of your case spending paid back in War Tags.
- Weekly & monthly races. Opening cases earns race points. Climb the leaderboard and the top spots win skins.
- Rotating events. There's always an event running with its own case set, event currency and timer. Right now it's Area 51, with 13 days left when we checked.
- Giveaways on the homepage. A free giveaway, a 4-hour giveaway (unlocked by topping up), a Premium giveaway, and User Giveaways, where players give away skins to the community.
- Daily Free. A separate free tab with daily rewards on top of the LVL cases.
War Tags Headquarters
War Tags are Hellcase's second currency. You can't deposit them. You earn them by playing and spend them in the War Tag Shop. The War Tags Headquarters is where you manage all of it.
There are three ways: Agents raiding, refilling your balance, and LVL Wartagback. You can also claim some free War Tags through the “Claim Free War Tags” tasks.
Agents cost $4.60 each (Marksman, Duelist, Special Forces, Infiltration, Battleground). Once you own one, it goes on raids on its own and brings back War Tags. You just hit Collect Now. Agents don't raid forever, so treat them as a short-term booster.
Use your War Tags in the shop on War Tag cases, cosmetics like profile backgrounds, and boosts like XP boosters.
This is the big one. Spend War Tags on raffle tickets for Hellcase's largest giveaway. The more tickets you have, the higher your chance. The next raffle had a countdown running when we checked.
Hellcase Premium
Hellcase Premium is a monthly subscription. You pay a fixed price and get free monthly cases, access to Premium-only giveaways, exclusive Premium cases you can buy, Discord perks and some cosmetic extras. There are three tiers. Use the arrows to switch between them.

Winnings come out as skins. Hellcase sends them from its own stock, so you don't wait for another player to accept a trade. Steam's own trade protection still applies once the skin is in your inventory.
There's no direct crypto or bank payout. If you want cash, you have to sell the skin yourself on a marketplace. Other reviews mention a transfer to ShadowPay, a skin marketplace, as a way to cash out, but we haven't tested it.
Final Verdict
Hellcase has a lot more going for it than just a huge case library. Ten years online, a named operator, provably fair rolls, up to three daily free cases through the LVL system, weekly and monthly races, constant giveaways and the War Tags economy add up to one of the deepest free-reward setups on any CS2 site.
What keeps it under 4 is transparency and cash-out. There's no published house edge, withdrawals are skins only, and battles are padded with bots. Newer sites like SkinRave and CSGORoll publish their numbers and pay out in crypto.
