CSGOEmpire is one of the oldest and biggest CS2 betting sites, live since 2016. It's best known for its Roulette and ultra-low-edge Coinflip, alongside Cases, Case Battles and a full esports match-betting section.

The first thing you notice is the activity — the chat never stops and the betting tables are constantly stacked with players. It's not the flashiest site out there, but the volume and the low edges are what keep people coming back.

Yes — on the gameplay and payout side, CSGOEmpire is legit. It's run since 2016, holds a Curaçao gaming licence, is provably fair, and moves enormous daily deposit and withdrawal volume. Our deposits and withdrawals were near-instant.

Two caveats keep it from a higher score: the site has been blocked or banned by regulators in Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark, and the owner has a string of public controversies (covered below). The platform pays out; the baggage is reputational.

Figures confirmed by CSGOEmpire support. The 0.5% coinflip edge is exceptional — it was lowered from 3% — and the 6.66% roulette is well below the case-site average. The cases sit at a more typical 8.8%. For low-edge play, this is one of the strongest line-ups in CS2.

The "is anyone even here?" test is easy on CSGOEmpire — it's huge. On-chain data (via circus.fyi) over a recent 30-day window shows the scale of the activity:

• PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 stage invasion — protesters stormed the stage during a quarter-final; Monarch publicly claimed responsibility and live-streamed it. A formal apology followed.
• Banned from X and Kick — the owner's accounts, plus CSGOEmpire's, were suspended.
• Sponsorship dropped — an esports team terminated its CSGOEmpire sponsorship after community backlash.
• Regulatory blocks — the site is blocked or banned in Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark.

None of this changes whether CSGOEmpire pays out (it does), but if you care who you're handing money to, it's worth knowing.
